The natural lights streaking across this glorious summer evening at Gamble Pond evoked a search for something like a prayer that speaks to some feeling or sentiment in this photograph... although I think this image speaks for itself, here are a few more thoughts: Give me a few friends who will love me for what I am, and keep ever burning before my vagrant steps the kindly light of hope...And though I come not within sight of the castle of my dreams, teach me to be thankful for life, and for time's olden memories that are good and sweet. This kind of scene is always one of my favorites. Before I painted it was this landscape flow of color that made me say "I want to paint that!"
