Description
Layers of things left, inside and out, of former things passing away in plain sight. Seeing the ironic layers of history repeating itself at different stages, all the same thing, really....A ghost town is an abandoned village, town or city, usually one which contains substantial visible remains. A town often becomes a ghost town because the economic activity that supported it has failed, or due to natural or human-caused disasters such as floods, government actions, uncontrolled lawlessness, war, or nuclear disasters. The term can sometimes refer to cities, towns, and neighborhoods which are still populated, but significantly less so than in years past; for example those affected by high levels of unemployment and dereliction.Rust is composed of iron oxides. In colloquial usage, the term is applied to red oxides, formed by the reaction of iron and oxygen in the presence of water or air moisture. Other forms of rust exist, like the result of reactions between iron and chloride in an environment deprived of oxygen rebar used in underwater concrete pillars is an example which generates green rust

Hi Kathy, Your image is great! I particularly like to see the old houses through the windscreen and it is completed with the crack, stain and rust of the dashboard. Personally, I think it is the best of the Steering wheel Contest
