Artist's Description
Small Format. In Kamloops, BC on the banks of the North Thompson. Bird migration is the regular seasonal journey undertaken by many species of birds. Bird movements include those made in response to changes in food availability, habitat, or weather. Sometimes, journeys are not termed "true migration" because they are irregular (nomadism, invasions, irruptions) or in only one direction (dispersal, movement of young away from natal area). Migration is marked by its annual seasonality

This is a link to my Fine Art America page specifically setup for my U.S. clients. Some items on FAA (basic prints and canvases) are also fulfilled by Canadian printers without additional cross-border shipping charges so if you are in Canada and want the convenience of this service, give FAA a try. 30 day money back guarantee. My intention for the viewer and potential buyer: enjoy looking! **NEW NOTICE FAA enlarger square will pixelate some of my images (taken from an older camera with film), because FAA sets the enlarger at 200% magnification. Wow such beautiful birds! Read an interesting article recently that said (besides climate change) that bird feeding was changing the migrating patterns of some bird populations. Can you believe? so much available food from millons of bird feeders. v
Kathy Bassett replied:
They are very very shy of populated areas! And they like tree berries, I hear. Thanks, Edward!

I am so happy you 'got' this photo! THANK you for helping to identify. They are Bohemian Waxwings, I believe! I happened upon them during a hike along a quiet area of the river, and they were greedily drinking and bathing there. !!
